Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DesignMyInk ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use designmyink.ai. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your design inputs — the prompts, subject text and style choices you enter.
- Generated images — the designs we create for you.
- Email address — only if you give it to us (to email you a design, claim a free file, or receive share-codes).
- Technical data — your IP address and approximate country (used for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), and basic usage events (e.g. a design was generated or unlocked).
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
How we use it
- To generate and deliver your designs and the clean high-res file.
- To send you emails you ask for (your design, share-codes, receipts).
- To prevent abuse, enforce fair-use limits and protect our service budget.
- To review generations for quality and safety, and to improve the product.
Who we share it with
We use trusted third-party providers to run the service. They process data on our behalf and may store or process it outside Australia (including the USA and EU):
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery and temporary storage of your designs.
- Replicate — the AI image generation that turns your prompt into an image (your prompt is sent to generate the design).
- Stripe — secure payment processing.
- Resend — sending emails (your design, codes, receipts).
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
- Generated images are deleted automatically about 24 hours after creation, or about 30 days after a file is unlocked.
- Share-codes expire 30 days after they're issued.
- Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies/local storage needed to run the site. We may add privacy-respecting analytics over time; if we introduce advertising or analytics cookies we'll update this policy.
Your rights
Under the APPs you can ask us to access or correct your personal information, or to delete it. Email hello@designmyink.ai and we'll action reasonable requests. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
